This pure Merlot, from parcels around the ancient church of Lalande-de-Pomerol, lets the fruit of the terroir speak for itself. In the glass, Brut(es) shows a lively, almost bold fruit expression supported by firm, confident tannins. It is a wine that evokes emotions precisely because it hides nothing and adds nothing. Natural vinification, nine-month maturation in concrete cuves and the complete absence of sulphites, selected yeasts, clarification or filtration create an unfiltered honesty that is rare in Bordeaux. Serving lightly chilled reveals the freshness and sharpness of the fruit, while warmth in the glass gradually softens the velvety tannins.
