The Chardonnay Trocken 2024 from Weingut Maring-Prigge is a characterful and elegant white wine from the steep slopes of the Moselle. Here, sunshine, slate soils and intensive manual labour combine to form the basis for a Chardonnay that harmoniously blends power and finesse. The wine reflects the winery’s modern vision, in which purity, precision and expression of terroir take centre stage.
On the nose, the wine is refined and crisp, with aromas of ripe yellow fruit, subtle citrus and light mineral notes. On the palate, it is crisp and well-balanced, with a lovely combination of juicy fruit, fresh acidity and an elegant structure. The influence of the slate soils lends the wine extra tension and refinement, whilst the dry style ensures a long, clean finish. The result is a Chardonnay that remains both powerful and approachable.
