The Riesling “Shanghai” Feinherb from Weingut Maring-Prigge is a playful and refined Mosel Riesling, inspired by the vibrant energy of the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai. This ‘Feinherb’ style combines lively freshness with a subtle residual sweetness, demonstrating just how versatile and modern Riesling can be.
On the nose, the wine opens with floral aromas of elderflower, complemented by ripe notes of quince and fresh white fruit. On the palate, it is juicy and alluring, with an elegant balance between crisp acidity and gentle sweetness. The lively acidity lends the wine tension and energy, whilst the delicate residual sugar ensures a rounded and approachable style with a long, fruity finish.
