The 2023 Pinot Noir Trocken from Weingut Maring-Prigge is an elegant and characterful red wine from the Moselle. This Pinot Noir is aged for no less than eighteen months in carefully selected wooden barrels, which lends it extra depth, structure and refinement. The result is a modern Pinot Noir that harmoniously combines finesse and power, with a clear expression of terroir and craftsmanship.
On the nose, the wine opens with refined aromas of dark cherries, subtle herbs and a light smoky note from the oak ageing. On the palate, it is silky smooth and layered, with ripe red fruit, elegant tannins and a lovely balance between freshness and structure. The extended ageing in oak lends the wine extra complexity without overpowering the pure character of the Pinot Noir. The finish is long, refined and stylish.
