Fifetta is a Barbera d'Asti DOCG made from 100% Barbera grapes, from the hills of Piedmont. The wine shines in the glass with a deep ruby colour and immediately enchants with a lush bouquet of ripe red fruits such as cherries, raspberries, blackberries and plums. On the palate, Fifetta proves lively and layered, with fresh acidity that balances the structure nicely. The alcohol content varies between 14% and 14.5%, making for a full-bodied but not heavy wine style.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully gathered into small bins to avoid damage and maximise the quality of the bunches. This careful approach translates into an elegant Barbera that fully retains its expression. Fifetta is excellent with hearty dishes such as grilled or braised meat, classic pasta dishes or rich starters. Its versatile character also makes it suitable as an aperitif wine.
For an optimal taste experience, it is recommended to serve this wine between 16 and 20 °C, so that the interplay of fruit, freshness and structure is fully expressed.
