Amelia is a powerful, full-bodied wine made from 100% Barbera grapes, from the prestigious Nizza region. The vineyards are located on south-western slopes, ensuring optimal sunlight and fruit ripeness. In the glass, Amelia shows a deep ruby colour that tends towards garnet red with age. In her youth, the aroma is intense and vinous, with pronounced notes of cherry, plum and dark fruit. As the wine matures, aromas of jam, candied fruit, balsamic, spice and subtle floral accents develop. Wood aging adds scents of cinnamon, cocoa and liquorice.
On the palate, Amelia is rich and warm, with a harmonious structure and velvety tannins. The 18-month ageing in wood gives the wine depth, complexity and a long, pleasant finish. The balance between ripe fruit, spiciness and soft wood tones makes it a wine of great elegance as well as power.
Amelia is excellent with red meat, grilled dishes and mature cheeses. A wine that demands time and attention - and that rewards with a full, layered experience.
