Product description
Rheinhessen is Germany’s largest wine region, and one of its most diverse. The limestone-rich loess soils around the village of Guntersblum provide ideal conditions for aromatic, fruit-driven white wines. This is where Burghof Oswald grows its Gewürztraminer: a grape variety with an unmistakable character that shows its most expressive side on these soils. Not a subtle wine, but one that speaks to you immediately.
The 2025 Spätlese was vinified in stainless steel tanks, a deliberate choice to preserve the fresh, floral aromatics as purely as possible. With 70 g/L residual sugar and a moderate alcohol content of 10%, this is a sweet wine that still feels light and elegant. The balance between sweetness and freshness makes it inviting and easy to drink.
In the glass it offers an expressive bouquet of rose petals, lychee, and exotic fruit. On the palate it is full-bodied and soft, with a velvety texture and a long, harmonious finish. Gewürztraminer is the classic pairing for Asian cuisine: it holds its own alongside a spicy curry, plays beautifully with sweet sauces, and rounds off fruity desserts. Serve chilled at 8 to 10 degrees and give it a moment to open up.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
