The Langhe DOC Nebbiolo “I Patriarchi” is a refined red wine from the municipality of Neive, from young Nebbiolo vineyards also used for Barbaresco. This wine offers an accessible and enjoyable drinking experience, with a supple character that distinguishes it from the more powerful DOCG wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco. It perfectly reflects the rich wine tradition of this region and brings out the elegant character of Nebbiolo in a subtle and refined way.
After a careful, manual harvest in early October, the wine undergoes fermentation with a skin soaking of about ten days. It then matures for at least 15 months in oak barrels, creating a harmonious balance of fruity and spicy notes. The wine is ideal for drinking young, but can also be aged for several years to further develop its complexity.
With its refined structure and soft tannins, this Nebbiolo is an excellent match for flavorful meat starters, savory pasta dishes, grilled red meats and semi-aged cheeses. It is the perfect choice for lovers of elegant, balanced wines with authentic character.
