Weingut Dopler's Merlot Reserve 2019 is a characterful and ripe red wine made entirely from carefully selected Merlot grapes. The wine underwent a gentle fermentation and then matured for 16 months in small oak barriques. This long ageing process gives it its velvety texture and rich aromatic depth.
In the glass, the wine shows itself full and concentrated, with notes of ripe dark berries, a hint of cedar and subtle spices. On the palate, it is powerful and round, with soft tannins and a harmonious structure that lingers for a long time. Combining elegance with intensity, this Merlot is both gastronomically useful and perfect to enjoy in good company.
Awarded 91 points in the Falstaff Rotwein Guide 2022 and four glasses in the WEINpur-Guide 2022/23, this wine proves its outstanding quality. It comes out beautifully with dishes such as roasted meats, stews or mature cheeses, but is also a real treat solo. Serve at 17-18°C for the best experience.
