The ‘L’esssenziale’ Rosso di Valtellina DOC 2021 by Marcel Zanolari is a lovely red wine made from 100% Valtellinese Nebbiolo grapes, grown in the beautiful Valtellina wine region in northern Italy. This wine is easy to drink and tastes great, which makes it perfect for people new to wine as well as those who already know a lot about it. It goes wonderfully with light meats like tender chicken, soft veal, or even a mildly spiced pork tenderloin. Its nice flavor makes every meal even more enjoyable.
What makes this wine special is its mix of smells and tastes. You can notice a soft scent of roses combined with fresh red fruit like cherries or raspberries, which makes it exciting to drink. To get the best out of it, let the wine breathe a little before serving – about half an hour in a carafe is perfect.
