The name “Fanciòtein” means “little boy” in Piedmontese dialect and it says everything about the spirit of this wine. Cà ed Cerutti presents it as the youngest of the family: a white wine that brings playful lightness and a fresh greeting, without any pretension of grandeur. The Cortese grape, grown on vines of over twenty years with an eastern exposure in the Alto Monferrato, has found its natural home here.
The winemaking is careful and controlled: fermented in stainless steel autoclave tanks to preserve the freshness and delicate aromatic profile of the Cortese as purely as possible. The result is a wine without detours, clear, direct, and inviting, with a persistent finish that far exceeds its modest name.
In the glass it shows a clear, pale straw yellow. The nose is elegant, with aromas of almond and white peach. On the palate the freshness is perfectly balanced, pleasantly refreshing with a surprisingly long-lasting finish. Excellent as an aperitif and an ideal companion to antipasti, fish, and white meats.
