'Sciac-Trà' Ormeasco di Pornassio DOC is a sophisticated rosé wine made entirely from Ormeasco grapes, grown on hills above 500 metres in the Alta Valle Arroscia. The name 'Sciac-Trà' has its origins in the Ligurian dialect and refers to the delicate process of "pressing and quick draining", where the grape skins remain in contact with the juice for only a short time to achieve a light, elegant colour and fresh style.
This rosé stands out for its bright colour and lively aroma profile, with floral notes and a seductive cherry aroma. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, with a short skin maceration of about one hour and slow fermentation at low temperature for six to seven days. This process preserves the purity of the fruit and results in a fresh, fragrant wine with a refined structure.
'Sciac-Trà' is an ideal accompaniment to seafood, especially grilled fish, but also goes extremely well with Ligurian vegetable dishes, young cheeses and the traditional farinata. Serve this wine lightly chilled, between 14 and 16 degrees, to fully enjoy its expressive freshness and elegance.
