Giuanò' Pigato Superiore DOC Riviera Ligure di Ponente is an expressive white wine made from 100% Pigato grapes, sourced from vineyards located at an altitude of over 500 metres in the Ligurian hinterland. This particular location, combined with large temperature differences between day and night during harvest in late October, creates an exceptional aromatic richness in the grapes.
The wine gets its structure and depth from careful vinification: a short skin soaking, prolonged bâtonnage and a subtle ageing in wood, which combine to produce a dry, well-structured wine with a striking aromatic persistence. After ageing, the wine colours from straw yellow to golden yellow, with a complex aroma and flavour that develops beautifully in the glass.
'Giuanò' is named after grandfather Giuanò and proudly carries on the family's heritage and tradition. The wine is an excellent match for all types of seafood, but also goes well with dishes from Ligurian cuisine rich in vegetables and aromatic herbs. Serve it between 12 and 15 degrees to best express its character.
