Radusa is Tenuta Pescarina's organic Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC Superiore, made from 100% Montepulciano. The grapes grow on the hills of Spoltore, where chalky clay soil with gravel is the ideal basis for wines with finesse and character. After the manual harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and a cold settling of the must follows. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 15 to 20 days, after which the wine matures for five months on steel and a further two months in bottle.
In the glass, Radusa presents itself in an intense and brilliant cherry-pink colour. The nose opens with delicate aromas of red fruit, complemented by light spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy and elegant, with a lively character and harmonious balance that nicely reflects its organic origins.
This Cerasuolo is versatile and lends itself perfectly to serving lightly chilled. It pairs beautifully with refined fish dishes, white meat, summer salads and charcuterie, but can also be a surprisingly good partner with spicy Asian dishes.
