Brezza is a fresh and accessible white wine that lives up to its name. Made from 100% Verdeca, one of the region's most important indigenous grapes, this wine literally and figuratively grows with the landscape. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 400 meters and are constantly cooled by the breeze that blows through the Canale di Pirro. This fresh air, especially in the early morning and at night, ensures healthy grapes with pronounced aromas and a natural balance between ripeness and freshness.
After the harvest at the end of September, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for fifteen days. At the end of fermentation, the must is cooled to maintain a light, refined sparkle. The wine is then aged for three months in steel and then undergoes at least two months of bottle aging. This method emphasizes Brezza's juicy, uncomplicated character and makes it immediately appealing to drink.
In the glass, Brezza displays a light straw yellow color with golden yellow reflections. The aroma is floral and fruity, with notes of apricot, medlar, and peach, followed by a subtle hint of honey. On the palate, the juiciness and drinkability are particularly noticeable, with a fresh, soft finish and a friendly, slightly pétillante touch. Served at 10 to 12 degrees, this is an ideal aperitif wine, which also pairs well with fish starters, crudités, and light dishes with fish and seafood.
