Fluente Syrah by Quattrocieli is an organic red wine that brings the warmth and intensity of Sicily to the glass. The grapes grow in Cozzo Amodeo near Gibellina, at 250 metres altitude, where sunshine, sea breezes and medium-heavy soils combine for optimal ripening and natural balance. Harvesting is done by hand, with rigorous selection of perfectly ripe bunches to ensure concentration and finesse.
After destemming, the wine undergoes a 19-day skin maceration and fermentation at 25Ā°C, followed by 14-month maturation in stainless steel and a further four months in French oak barrels. This combination preserves fruit expression while adding depth and complexity. In the nose, rich aromas of ripe red fruit, plum and cherry unfold, with subtle hints of black pepper and liquorice.
On the palate, Fluente Syrah is supple and well-structured, with velvety tannins and a nice freshness that balances the warmth of the fruit. The finish is long and slightly spicy, with an elegant Mediterranean touch. A versatile red wine that is excellent with grilled meats, spicy dishes and mature cheeses.
