Hof Breitenstein's Frühburgunder Trocken 2018 from the Nahe region is a special red wine from a rare grape variety. Frühburgunder - also known as Pinot Madeleine - is an early-ripening variety of Pinot Noir and is known for its deep colour, soft structure and intense aromatic expression. In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby colour with warm reflections, which immediately reveals its ripe character.
In the nose, rich aromas of ripe cherries, blueberries and plums open up, complemented by subtle spicy notes and slight earthy nuances. Through aging, the wine has developed additional complexity and harmony, beautifully blending the fruit with soft spicy accents.
On the palate, the wine is round and elegant with a soft structure and velvety tannins. The ripe red and dark fruit gives the wine a full flavour, while fresh acidity provides balance and liveliness. The finish is long and refined, making this Frühburgunder a perfect match for dishes with depth and structure.
