Hof Breitenstein's 2021 Riesling Premium from the Nahe shows how complex and layered Riesling can be when the grapes reach full maturity. In the glass, the wine presents itself clear and light golden yellow, with an elegant appearance that immediately arouses curiosity. This is a Riesling with more depth and structure, without losing its fresh character.
In the nose, refined aromas of citrus, ripe apple and stone fruit open up, complemented by subtle mineral and spicy notes. The Nahe is known for its mineral-rich soils, and this character is clearly reflected in the wine. The combination of ripe fruit, fresh acidity and minerality creates nice tension and a layered aromatic profile.
On the palate, the wine is tight, elegant and perfectly balanced. The fresh acidity gives the wine energy, while the ageing adds structure and length.
