Product description
Bodega Bravo Escos' La Roca de l'Abellar 2021 is a refined and pure expression of Garnacha from a single vineyard in Porerra, in the heart of Priorat. The name refers to an imposing, ancient rock in the landscape - a symbol of strength and time, which perfectly matches the character of this wine. Situated on sandstone with slate, the vineyard gives a unique and elegant interpretation of the terroir.
The approximately 30-year-old vines are farmed sustainably, with ongoing conversion to organic certification. In the cellar, they opt for minimal intervention: spontaneous fermentation in small tanks, followed by maceration for eight to 14 days. The wine then matures for 14 months in terracotta amphorae, ensuring a pure, unfiltered expression of grape and soil.
In the glass, the wine shows a garnet red colour with slight bluish reflections. The aroma opens with floral and spicy notes of lavender, rosemary and thyme, complemented by rose petals and fresh citrus. On the palate, the wine is silky and refined, with a subtle creaminess that turns into an elegant and layered structure. Fine tannins and lively acidity provide tension and a long, precise finish. This wine is an ode to finesse within the power of Priorat.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
