Nebbiolo Etichetta Bianca Colline Novaresi DOC 2023 is a refined red wine made from 87% Nebbiolo and 13% Uva Rara, sourced from the small vineyard plot Valle Ceresole in Briona, Novara, at an altitude of 280 meters. The 1.3-hectare vineyard is carefully managed using integrated pest management methods, and yields are limited to ensure concentration and quality. The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates in early October at full ripeness.
After destemming, the must undergoes maceration on the skins for 8 days, followed by natural malolactic fermentation during the first warm spring temperatures. The wine then ages in stainless steel and is bottled in July, resulting in a pure expression of the terroir and the grapes.
In the glass, the wine displays a light ruby red color with subtle garnet reflections, clear and elegant. The aroma is intense and complex, with smoky nuances and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it opens powerfully and consistently, with harmonious tannins and a perfect balance between the typical structure of Nebbiolo and the accessibility of Uva Rara. The healthy acidity and liveliness make it lively and pleasant to drink.
Nebbiolo Colline Novaresi DOC 2024 is ideal with grilled red meat, mature cheeses, mushroom pasta, or starters with smoked charcuterie. Serve at 18°C to allow the aromatic complexity to fully unfold.
