The 'Pigna Rossa' Montecucco DOCG Sangiovese Riserva 2021 is an exclusive red wine made from 100% Sangiovese. This special wine is carefully crafted from hand-selected grapes, picked in the second half of September to ensure optimal ripeness and flavor. After careful destemming and crushing, the wine undergoes maceration for about 18 days, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
To reach its full potential, the wine then ages for two years in French oak barrels, creating a subtle harmony between structure and complexity. After this aging process, the wine is bottled in April and rests for another 12 months in the bottle before it finds its way to your glass. The result is an elegant wine with a deep garnet red color and a bouquet of ripe fruit, refined hints of vanilla, and a touch of coffee. On the palate, a perfect balance between complexity and structure emerges, making the wine silky and layered.
