Nebbiolo Etichetta Nera Colline Novaresi DOC 2024 is a refined and powerful still red wine, made from 100% Nebbiolo from the Del Fara vineyard in Briona, Novara, at an altitude of 280 meters. The 1.3-hectare vineyard is carefully managed with controlled yields to maximize the concentration and quality of the grapes. The harvest took place manually in small crates in early October, at full ripeness.
After destemming, a 15-day maceration on the skins follows, after which the wine undergoes natural malolactic fermentation in wood at the first warm spring temperatures. Aging takes place for 12–15 months in small used barrels, including barriques and tonneaux, resulting in a rich texture and complex structure.
In the glass, the wine presents a light ruby red color with delicate garnet reflections, bright and elegant. The aroma is intense and layered, with light smoky nuances and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it opens softly, with silky tannins, a perfectly regulated structure, and an impressive, long finish. The wine displays power, elegance, and excellent persistence – a true expression of Nebbiolo.
Nebbiolo Etichetta Nera Colline Novaresi DOC 2024 pairs beautifully with roasted red meat, stews, and other richly structured dishes. Serve at 18°C for an optimal appreciation of the wine's aromas and complexity.
