Weingut Pleil's Cuvée Reserve 2023 is a powerful and elegant red blend from the Weinviertel region, composed of Zweigelt and Merlot. This reserve wine is aged for two years in barrique, adding depth, structure and refinement. The combination of Austrian fruit expression and subtle wood influences produces a complex and harmonious wine with excellent ageing potential.
On the nose, the wine opens with aromas of dark berries, ripe blackberries and delicate spicy notes. Subtle nuances of liquorice, precious wood and spices add complexity and elegance. On the palate, the wine shows full and juicy, with integrated tannins, ripe black fruit and a nice balance between power and freshness. The long barrique ageing gives the wine extra structure and depth without overpowering the fruit. The finish is long, spicy and refined.
