Pinot Grigio has been grown in Friuli for over two centuries and has become one of the most widely cultivated international varieties here, and with good reason. On the ponca soils of the Colli Orientali, this grape variety reveals its most refined and mineral-driven character, a far cry from the typical cliché. Here, it is not the simple freshness that takes centre stage, but the depth of the terroir.
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and immediately chilled, followed by gentle pressing. Vinification and maturation take place exclusively in stainless steel tanks. Straw-yellow in the glass. The nose is fresh and clean, with intense and broad floral aromas and a hint of pear. On the palate, it is dry, mineral, fresh, balanced, refined and lingering.
A versatile wine that works excellently as an aperitif, with cold meats, starters, fish, chicken salads, light pasta dishes and white cold cuts. Serve at 10–12°C.
