Helios is a fresh and aromatic white wine from Sardinia, made from a blend of Vermentino and Nasco, two indigenous white grape varieties that perfectly reflect the soul of the island. The vineyards are located on the sunny hills of Sardinia’s interior, on sandy and calcareous soils that give the grapes their characteristic freshness and minerality. After a hand-harvest, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is bottled cold to fully preserve its delicate aromatic profile.
In the glass, Helios displays a bright, pale yellow color with green reflections. The nose is fresh and inviting, with floral and fruity notes typical of Vermentino, complemented by the soft aromatic richness of Nasco, which adds nuances of white fruit, citrus, and a hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy, and well-balanced, with a pleasant minerality and a persistent, elegant finish that highlights its Mediterranean origins.
The Helios is a versatile dining wine that pairs excellently as an aperitif, with fish and seafood appetizers, shellfish, and light fish dishes. Its fresh aromas and lively acidity also make it ideal with light Mediterranean summer dishes.
