The Torelli 'Il Rocchetto' Dolcetto D'Asti is an authentic expression of the Dolcetto grape, loved in the hills of Cuneo, Asti and Alessandria. In this region, Dolcetto is seen not just as a wine, but as an essential part of life. Despite the demanding nature of this grape, it thrives perfectly here, thanks to the chalky tufa soils that provide finesse and character.
A traditional vinification with one-week maceration gives the wine its deep color and refined tannic structure. This results in a balanced, lively red wine with a distinct personality. With its modest alcohol content and pleasant tannins, this wine is perfectly balanced, remaining supple and approachable.
The 'Il Rocchetto' Dolcetto d'Asti DOC is the ideal companion at the table. It goes perfectly with the rich, savory dishes of Piedmontese cuisine, such as risotto, braised meats and aged cheeses. Its fresh character and slight spiciness also make it a nice complement to charcuterie and traditional pasta dishes.
