Product description
Le Noci is a forward-thinking, sustainable white wine from Valcalepio, in which Castello di Grumello deliberately chooses resilient Piwi grapes. On marly limestone soils with south to southwest exposition (200-300 m altitude), Bronner and Johanniter ripen while maintaining freshness and tension. The result is an enveloping wine with lively acidity and a warm, honeyed depth - quality and sustainability go hand in hand.
The blend consists of 80% Bronner and 20% Johanniter. Gentle pressing of crushed grapes is followed by temperature-controlled fermentation at 16-18 °C in stainless steel. A partial malolactic fermentation rounds off the texture, after which the wine matures for 9 months sur lie for extra length and complexity. After bottling, the wine rests in bottle for around 3 months before release.
In the glass, Le Noci is expressive and layered: fresh citrus is interwoven with warmer notes of apricot and honey. The finish is exciting and slightly smoky/mineral, with a pleasant flinty accent that underlines its length. A characterful, modern white wine with balance between freshness and envelopment.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
