Weingut Fischer's Merlot BIO is a powerful and refined red wine made from 100% organically grown Merlot grapes sourced from 24-year-old vines. In the glass, the wine shows a deep black-red colour with a subtle ochre edge - a sign of its maturity and elegance. On the nose, it reveals an enticing aroma of ripe, sweet plums and soft red fruits, delicately complemented by notes of noble wood, a touch of liquorice and spicy accents.
After a careful manual harvest, the wine matures for 30 months in French barriques. This long ageing results in a silky smooth tannin structure and beautifully integrated wood notes. The palate is full and round, with a pronounced fruity charm, velvety texture and a wonderful extract sweetness that gives it depth and length. The long finish is carried by balance, finesse and a warm, ripe expression of the grape.
