The 2022 Pet Nat Rosé from Lichti & Astroh is a pure and vibrant expression of pétillant naturel – a naturally sparkling wine that takes its character directly from the bottle fermentation. This Deutscher Perlwein is made from St. Laurent, Pinot Noir, Portugieser and Dornfelder, which together create depth, freshness and a lively fruit profile. The must is bottled unfiltered and still fermenting, where it continues to ferment to complete dryness. The result is a raw yet refined rosé with 0.0 g/l residual sugar, no additives and no sulfites, crafted entirely according to the traditional Pet Nat method.
On the nose and palate, this rosé shows fresh yeasty and citrus notes, accompanied by aromas of strawberry, raspberry, red vineyard peach, hibiscus and rhubarb. Subtle hints of herbs, stone fruit and a gentle nuttiness add further complexity. The wine presents a clear, juicy structure with a moderate, fine mousse, delicate grip and a lightly mineral undertone. Its finish is clean, refreshing and inviting, free from any sweetness.
