Cantina Sabaini's Pinot Grigio Garda DOC is a refined white wine that originates in the vineyards of Oasi Musella, in the province of Verona. Here, at an altitude between 50 and 100 metres, the vines benefit from a perfect balance of sunshine and fresh winds from the valleys. The chalky clay soils contribute to the minerality and elegance that characterise this wine. The grapes are harvested by hand in early September, just when they have reached their ideal ripeness, to fully preserve their natural aromas and freshness.
After destemming and bruising, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 16 and 18Ā°C. This ensures that the Pinot Grigio's character remains pure and expressive. In the glass, the wine shows a pale straw yellow colour and reveals delicate aromas of spring blossom and ripe pear. The palate is refined and harmonious, with mineral accents and a fresh, fragrant finish that highlights the wine's elegant character.
The Pinot Grigio Garda DOC is an excellent choice with light starters, fish dishes and white meat. It pairs beautifully with, for example, a fresh seafood salad, grilled chicken breast or a classic pasta with lemon and prawns. Serve this wine at 8-10Ā°C to fully show off its delicate aromas and lively freshness.
