The Südsteiermark DAC Ried Czamillonberg Sauvignon Blanc 2024 from Weingut Potzinger is a refined single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from one of the best terroirs in Südsteiermark. Originating from the Ried Czamillonberg and rooted in characterful Opok soils, this wine combines depth, elegance and pronounced minerality with the typical freshness of southern Styria.
On the nose, the wine opens with refined aromas of yellow tropical fruits, mango, blossom honey and ripe gooseberry, subtly supported by spicy nuances. On the palate, it shows juicy and elegant, with a fine fruity attack, precise acidity and a pronounced mineral structure. Tones of peach and chalky minerality remain long on the finish. The combination of ageing on stainless steel and partial barrique maturation gives the wine extra complexity and depth without losing its freshness.
