Miali's Susumaniello Rosato is a sophisticated rosé wine from the heart of Puglia, from a carefully selected vineyard plot at 400 metres altitude. The wine is made from the indigenous grape Susumaniello, which grows on iron-rich calcareous soils. Thanks to gentle pressing of the grapes and peel-free fermentation at controlled temperature, the grape's character is purely preserved.
In the glass, this wine shines with a pale pink colour and a lively nose of cherries, raspberries and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity and elegant with a nice length that invites another sip. The structure is delicate, but the palate is remarkably expressive and refreshing.
This rosato is an excellent accompaniment to fish dishes, shellfish and light soups. It also comes into its own perfectly as an aperitif. Serve the wine chilled at around 10°C for the best experience of its fresh character. An expressive rosé that reflects the strength of Puglia's terroir and Miali's craftsmanship.
