Product description
The Weissburgunder Homburg Gössenheim from Weingut Höfling is a refined, dry quality wine from a unique southern slope in the nature reserve surrounding the impressive Homburg castle ruins. The vines grow on soils of loess loam with fine limestone chippings and benefit from a gradient of up to 50%, ensuring optimal sunlight and ripening. These conditions contribute to the distinct character of this Weissburgunder.
In the glass, this wine shows as a harmonious combination of elegance and power. The bouquet is an aromatic bouquet of mirabelle, pear and apricot, subtly intertwined with notes of caramel and vanilla. Maturation in wood has added soft tannins that blend beautifully with the wine's creamy texture and full body. With an alcohol content of 13% and acidity of 5.4 g/l, it offers a wonderful balance between freshness and depth.
This Weissburgunder is an excellent companion to rich dishes such as braised beef or roast duck breast with gratin and glazed vegetables. Luxury combinations such as "surf and turf" - e.g. grilled veal medallions with hummerschwanz - or a full lobster soup also show this wine to full advantage. A wine for special moments and gourmets.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
