There are plenty of wine tastings and wine festivals in the Netherlands, but nowhere does the winemaker sit across from you. At our masterclasses you taste several wines from a single estate, hear the philosophy behind every bottle and ask your questions directly to the maker. More intimate than a wine festival, more personal than a wine course. And at €15 per person it is more accessible than you'd think: all wines can be ordered on the spot, to take home right away or delivered to your door.

Looking for an original corporate outing or a special wine tasting for your wine club, group of friends or bachelor party? We take you on a wine journey along the winemakers we work with, from the finest regions of Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Austria and the Netherlands. You taste wines you have never had in your glass, while we tell the real story behind every bottle.
A private tasting can take place in our shops in Utrecht and Amsterdam, but we can also come to you on location with a load of special wines. It makes a lovely gift too!

Frequently asked questions about our wine tastings
What is a wine tasting at ONWINE? ▾
You taste wines from small, independent winemakers you won't find in the supermarket. At our winemaker masterclasses the maker is there in person: you hear the story behind every bottle straight from the source. That's what makes our tastings different.
What does a wine tasting cost? ▾
A masterclass costs €15 per person. For that you taste several wines and get the explanation from the winemaker in person. Tickets are available through the ticket link at each upcoming event. All wines can be ordered on the spot: take them home right away or have them delivered.
Where do the tastings take place? ▾
In our shops: Kintgenshaven 1 in Utrecht (next to the Neude) and De Clercqstraat 130 in Amsterdam West. Both easy to reach by public transport. Each event shows the city, so you can see at a glance where it takes place.
What language is the masterclass in? ▾
Usually in English: the winemakers really do come from Piedmont, Burgundy, the Loire or the Mosel and so don't speak Dutch. When a Dutch winemaker is our guest, like Eskerwijn, the masterclass is in Dutch. It's always noted with the event.
How often do you host a wine tasting? ▾
There's a masterclass every month, sometimes two, spread across Utrecht and Amsterdam. They usually take place at the weekend and a winemaker is our guest for several days: you choose the session that suits you best. Check the agenda above or sign up for the newsletter.
Do I have to carry my ordered wine home myself? ▾
No. Order a case (6 bottles) or more and we deliver free of charge by cargo bike within 5 km of the shop. Live further away and your order is delivered to your home the week after the tasting, anywhere in the Netherlands.
