Piombaia

Piombaia is a family-run business in Montalcino, founded through the union of two families: the Rossis from Montalcino and the Cantinis from Pisa. In the first half of the twentieth century, Mario Rossi and his wife Carolina managed part of an estate belonging to Carolina’s family. Their daughter Lida married the Pisan farmer Vittorio Cantini, and together they purchased additional land, including the Piombaia estate. Their son Roberto modernised the business and launched an agriturismo in the renovated farmhouse, La Crocina. Piombaia is now run by the fifth generation: Vittorio, Francesco and Cecilia.
