Azienda Agricola Francesco Loi is a small but ambitious wine estate in Valledolmo, in the heart of the Sicilian Madonie mountains at an altitude of 800 to 900 metres. The story began in 2018 as a garage wine experiment by Francesco Loi, born in 1997, who, as a winemaker and qualified agronomist, undertook his training in Sicily, Italy and abroad. By 2024, that experiment had grown into a fully-fledged agricultural project, rooted in a vineyard of Catarratto and Perricone that has existed since 1954. The clay-limestone soils, the cool mountain breeze and the wide temperature fluctuations of the Madonie give the grapes their own character, and Francesco prefers to follow that character rather than dictate it.
