Product description
AURIGA Romagna Sangiovese DOC is a pure and balanced expression of 100% Sangiovese, from the hills around Serra di Castel Bolognese at 180 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand in early September, only when perfectly ripe, with careful selection of the best bunches. This location and method give the wine its classic Romagna character, combining fruit, structure and drinkability.
Ignition is followed by a skin soaking that continues until the end of fermentation. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures between 28 and 30 degrees with selected yeasts to optimally extract colour, aroma and structure. The wine then matures for two months in glass-lined concrete tanks, a neutral environment that preserves fruit and freshness without the influence of wood, followed by bottling and further bottle aging.
In the glass, AURIGA shows a ruby red colour with purple reflections. The nose is vinous and elegant, with subtle notes of violets. On the palate, it is full-bodied and dry, with a harmonious structure and a smooth, balanced finish. Served at 16 to 18 degrees, this is a versatile red wine that is excellent both on its own and at the table.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: ā¬6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
