The Cabernet Sauvignon IGT Terre Siciliane is a red wine made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that goes well with charcuterie, medium-aged and firmer cheeses.
This wine is rated Indicazione Geografica Tipica and comes from the province of Trapani, with vineyards in Trapani and Salemi. The area has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters, limited rainfall and a hot, well-ventilated summer. The vineyards are located just a few metres above sea level and have medium-density soil, slightly clayey in texture. The grapes are harvested by hand using traditional methods. This wine is made from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety. Vinification is also traditional, with a long maceration at controlled temperatures. After about 6 months in barriques, the wine matures further in bottle. The wine has an alcohol content of 13.50% vol. It shows an intense ruby red colour and has a scent of ripe red fruits with spicy notes. The taste is warm, soft and supple with tannins. This wine goes well with meat-based dishes, matured cheeses and spicy cheeses. It is recommended to serve it in a Bordeaux-type wine glass at a temperature between 16Ā°C and 18Ā°C. A constant temperature of 16Ā°C, with controlled light conditions, is needed for the wine's optimal preservation.
