Weingut Hindler's Chardonnay Muschelkalk is a refined wine from the Weinviertel that owes its character to ancient chalky soils, formed by deposits from the primeval sea. The 40-year-old vines produce grapes with special concentration and complexity. On the nose, charming aromas of juicy pineapple and ripe banana emerge, elegantly blending into a full-bodied, fruity style.
On the palate, the wine shows itself to be rich and harmonious, with a creamy fruit structure perfectly supported by a lively acid balance. The fresh fruit play continues into the finish, accompanied by a subtle spiciness that lends the wine depth and elegance. The five-month ageing on fine yeast adds roundness and refinement, without losing its fresh character.
This Chardonnay is an excellent companion to powerful dishes. It pairs beautifully with braised beef or spicy Asian dishes, but also comes into its own alongside aged cheeses, where its full-bodied fruit and elegant structure come into their own.
