The Chianti DOCG Riserva from Poggio al Bosco is an organic wine of exceptional class, made only in the best vintage years. Only when the grapes reach their highest quality, the family manually selects the bunches worthy of this special Riserva. The blend follows Barone Ricasoli's original recipe - with Sangiovese at its heart, complemented by Colorino, Canaiolo, Trebbiano and Malvasia Bianca - and is vinified according to centuries-old tradition. The wine first ages in wood to develop structure and depth, then further refines in concrete vats, ensuring a pure and balanced expression of the Chianti terroir.
In the glass, the Chianti Riserva shines in a ruby hue with garnet red reflections. The nose is complex and refined, with notes of black cherry, balsamic and a subtle spiciness. On the palate, the wine shows itself fresh, powerful and harmonious, with elegant tannins and a refined balance between ripe fruit and wood tones. This Riserva embodies the best of tradition and time: a wine with depth, soul and longevity. Not for nothing does winemaker Lorisse call this vintage "the best of the last decade".
