Domaine des Ruaults was born out of Marie-Jo and her husband's desire to return to their roots. Both come from farming families, but initially chose a different path - for example, he worked in the IT and telecoms sector for many years. In 2015, they decided to change course and literally return to the land, with the aim of building something real: their own wine estate in the Saumur region. They took over a 15-hectare family plot, which had been growing grapes but never making wine. What they found was not a running winery, but a blank page: an old cellar, some tanks, and endless possibilities.
