'SL' Syrah Klingenberg 2023 is an exceptional high-quality wine from a purely south-facing vineyard in the Großheppacher Wanne region. The vines grow on siliceous sandy soils and reached an outstanding ripeness of 96° Oechsle, resulting in a concentrated and powerful wine with elegance and finesse.
After five days of cold maceration and 28 days of skin fermentation, the wine was aged for 24 months in new French Allier oak barriques. This meticulous vinification brings out an intense bouquet of perfectly ripe dark berries and cocoa powder. On the palate, it is dense and peppery, with pure fruit concentration and a solid structure that leads to a long and harmonious finish. The wine was bottled unfiltered to preserve its full character and aromatic depth.
The designation "SL" stands for selective harvest – only the finest grapes were hand-picked for this cuvée. The result is a Syrah that is not only powerful and complex, but also impressively precise and balanced. A wine with excellent aging potential and a strong sense of terroir, ideal with grilled red meats, game, or rich stews.
