Product description
For Dario Coos, Friulano is not a grape, but an identity. Once known as Tocai Friulano, this is the white wine that embodies Friuli as few others do: firm, honest and unadorned. In the hills around Ramandolo, where vines have climbed up steep terraces for centuries, Friulano gets its distinct character. Cool nights, warm days and marl-rich soils give the wine its tension and depth, exactly like the landscape it comes from.
After gentle pressing, the wine ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and rests on the lie for at least four months. That time gives it extra texture and layering, without losing its fresh core. In the glass, it shows straw yellow with slight green reflections. The aroma is intense and recognisable, with ripe tropical fruit, peach and a subtle hint of almond. The palate is full and harmonious, with mineral undertones and a typical slightly bitter almond note in the finish, rounded off by a delicate balsamic freshness.
This is a wine that feels at home at the table. Friulano effortlessly accompanies fish and seafood, smoked trout or fine charcuterie such as prosciutto and other dried hams. A wine with backbone and soul that doesn't try to impress, but convinces through authenticity. Just like Friuli itself.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: ā¬6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
