Product description
For Dario Coos, Malvasia is not a grape you simply grow, but a story that has been on the go for centuries. Originally from ancient Greece, this grape found a new home in Friuli, where it effortlessly adapted to the terroir. In the hills around Ramandolo, Malvasia develops its own character: sunny, aromatic and quirky, exactly like the landscape it grows in.
The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September, when ripeness and freshness are perfectly balanced. Gentle pressing is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, after which the wine remains on the lie for at least four months. Keeping the yeasts in suspension regularly gives the wine extra depth, texture and a subtle creaminess without losing its fresh core.
In the glass, the Malvasia shows straw yellow, sometimes with a golden sheen. In the nose, fruity aromas dominate with hints of peach and apricot, followed by a dry, round and harmonious palate. This is a wine at home as an aperitif, but just as happy to accompany light pasta, soups or dishes with vegetables and fish - an expressive Friulian with an open character and a long, inviting finish.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: ā¬6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
