Product description
Here, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grows as it is meant to: on Friulian soil where tradition is not a museum piece, but something alive. For Dario Coos, this wine was born out of a quiet ambition to make something unique. Something that honours the past but does not linger in nostalgia. In the vineyards around Ramandolo, the grape ripens slowly, fuelled by cool nights and warm days, while the vine takes deep roots in a landscape that has been breathing red wine for centuries.
In the cellar, that ambition takes shape. The harvest is deliberately split, each part with its own role in the story. One part remains pure and direct in steel, another dries naturally to gain concentration and depth, while a third part ages patiently on wood. Only later do these layers come together. Not to impress, but to find balance. This is not a quick wine, but a composition in which time, technique and intuition meet.
In the glass, the Refosco shows its character without embellishment. Dark ruby red, with aromas of wild berries, ripe cherries and a spicy tension that opens slowly. The palate is full and supple, with fresh acidity and a slight bitterness in the finish typical of this grape. A wine at home at the table, with local dishes, hearty meals and long evenings where the conversation is as important as the glass.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: ā¬6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
