Product description
ALEI Romagna Albana Secco DOCG is a refined and pure expression of Albana, from the hills of Serra di Castel Bolognese at 200 metres above sea level. The vineyard Ca' Zanelli was planted between 2009 and 1990 and is managed according to the traditional pergoletta romagnola. The grapes are harvested by hand in early September, only when they are perfectly ripe, preserving freshness and aromatic precision.
A gentle pressing of whole bunches is followed by temperature-controlled fermentation at 12 to 14 degrees, after which the wine is cold-stabilised. Maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks to fully preserve the Albana's pure character. In the glass, the wine shows a bright golden yellow colour with aromas of acacia blossom, peach and apricot, complemented by a subtle touch of green tea.
On the palate, ALEI is structured and tight, with fresh acidity and a distinct salty tension typical of Albana from Romagna. Served between 8 and 10 degrees, this is an elegant and gourmet white wine, which comes across as both refined and distinct, and is excellent with light dishes or as an aperitif.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: β¬6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
