Product description
Riesling Schenkenberg Vieilles Vignes 2010 is an exceptional and rare wine, coming from a great Riesling vintage and made from over 45-year-old vines. That this wine is still so lively and precise today underlines its special quality and storage potential. In the glass, it shows a pale, bright yellow colour with an intense sheen. The nose is impressive in depth and tension, with tight mineral expression, refined elegance and subtle oily notes, rounded off with fresh lemon - classic and pure Riesling.
On the palate, the wine is dry, powerful and highly expressive, with pronounced minerality forming the backbone of this vintage. The structure is precise and layered, with a long, refined finish that shows why 2010 is considered a great year for Riesling. This is not an everyday wine, but a gourmet expression that perfectly combines calm, concentration and maturity.
Served at 8 to 10 degrees, this organically certified Riesling comes into its own with refined dishes such as grilled fish, lobster or crayfish, but it equally deserves a moment on its own. With a storage potential of up to 20 years, this is a wine for the enthusiast, showing how great aged Alsace Riesling can be.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
