'Elettra' Umbria Rosso IGT is a powerful, full-bodied red wine made from 100% Sagrantino grapes. The name derives from the ancient tradition of the play Elettra, which has been performed for years in the historic Torti Theatre in Bevagna. Just as the mythical Elettra lives in anticipation of her brother's return, this wine is also characterized by intensity, emotion, and a strong connection to Umbrian history. The grape from which it is made is Sagrantino, an indigenous variety known for its power and long aging time. In Mevante's IGT expression, the wine is rather “liberated” and made more accessible, without losing its depth.
2x Montefalco Rosso is a full-bodied, fruity red wine made from 20% Sangiovese and 20% Sagrantino grapes. Everything is executed with authenticity in mind: the wine must let the character of Montefalco speak for itself, with tension, depth, and a lively core of red fruit. The combination of Sangiovese and Sagrantino ensures freshness, grip, and extremely pleasant drinkability. A versatile wine that pairs excellently with red meat, poultry, pasta dishes with rich sauces, and aged cheeses.
'Birbantéo' Bianco Umbria IGT is an elegant, fresh white wine made from 100% Trebbiano Spoletino grapes. The authenticity of Trebbiano comes to the fore beautifully here: clear, pure, and yet structured. Annual production amounts to only 5,000 bottles, which underscores Mevante's artisanal and meticulous approach. On the palate, the wine is round and smooth, with a fine freshness and a harmonious saline undertone that gives the wine length.
Grechetto Colli Martani DOC is a fresh, round white wine from Umbria made from 100% Grechetto grapes. This indigenous grape is known for its aromatic richness and full mouthfeel. On the palate, the wine is round and fresh, with a beautiful balance between softness and lively acidity. The finish is long, clean, and aromatic, with hints of Mediterranean herbs and subtle mineral notes.
'Flaminio' Umbria Bianco IGT is a classic, aromatic white wine. It is a blend of 50% Trebbiano Spoletino and 50% Grechetto grapes, two authentic white grapes of Umbria. The name refers to the historic route "Via Flaminia," which was used by the Roman population to reach Mevania. It serves as the inspiration for a wine that connects tradition and modernity. For Mevante, Flaminio symbolizes the continuous traveling, discovering, and sharing of their wines, a path that never ends and continually reaches new people.
