This Timorasso tasting package offers an overview of the most important expressions of Timorasso from the Colli Tortonesi DOC. The selection consists of 3 bottles of Timorasso Derthona Colli Tortonesi DOC, 2 bottles of 'Mon Cavarè', and 1 bottle of ‘Tantèi’, allowing for direct comparison of differences in grape, vineyard, vine age, and vinification style.
Timorasso Derthona Colli Tortonesi DOC is made from 100% Timorasso, sourced from southwest-facing slopes at an altitude of approximately 300 meters. The soils consist of clay with limestone, resulting in high acidity, a distinct structure, and aging potential. The wine is dry, concentrated, and mineral, with a pronounced terroir expression and suitability for bottle aging.
‘Tantèi’ Timorasso Colli Tortonesi DOC is also 100% Timorasso, but sourced from vines over 80 years old. The low yield results in higher extraction, greater aromatic complexity, and more length in the wine.
'Mon Cavarè' Timorasso Metodo Classico is a sparkling wine from Timorasso, made from 30-year-old vines on clay soil above grey limestone, facing southwest at an altitude of 300 meters. The grapes are harvested by hand in early September. The focus is on acidity structure, precision, and aromatic concentration.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
