Domaine Désertaux-Ferrand's 2024 Bourgogne Aligoté is a fresh and lively white Bourgogne that beautifully showcases the pure expression of the Aligoté grape. Sourced from vineyards with vines between twenty and forty-five years old, this wine combines classic Burgundian finesse with refreshing fruitiness and elegance. The wine is raised entirely on stainless steel to best preserve the fresh and lively character of the grape.
On the nose, the wine opens with fresh aromas of citrus, green apple and white flowers. On the palate, it shows tight, lively and mineral, with fresh acids and a refined fruitiness that provide plenty of tension and drinkability. Temperature-controlled fermentation and maturation of six to eight months on stainless steel give the wine a clean style with plenty of freshness and precision. The result is a classic Bourgogne Aligoté that comes across as both elegant and invigorating.
This wine is particularly versatile at the table and pairs excellently with seafood, light fish dishes and charcuterie. In addition, Bourgogne Aligoté traditionally forms the basis for the famous Burgundy aperitif cocktail Kir. A fresh and authentic Bourgogne full of liveliness, finesse and terroir expression.
